Services We Offer

Getting Started

To learn more about you and the products you are interested in developing and/or producing, a phone call or a meeting in person works great with us!
During the initial meeting we will be happy to guide you through our processes, timelines, and costs.

After our meet and greet we offer a free initial consultation regarding the specific design you are interested in developing and/or producing with us. At your request, this will include design and construction guidance to better meet the desired final look as well as the ideal production cost range for that particular product.

After the initial consultation we offer additional consultation services at $100/hour.

Sourcing
** At this time we DO NOT offer fabric sourcing.
We do offer partial notion sourcing
All fabrics and preferably notions must be provided by the designer.

Technical Packet Development

Technical packet (aka tech pack) serves as a blueprint for manufacturers to follow while constructing your garment or product. Having a technical packet prepared for your design before moving into production will eliminate many time consuming and costly mistakes.

A tech pack will have a detailed breakdown of all necessary materials, notions and call outs to produce your garment or product. It will also have a step by step guide on how your garment/product should be constructed.

At red Thread Company we develop detailed and user friendly technical packets. Whether you need a fully developed technical packet or just a construction call out sheet we are here for your assistance.

Base Pattern Development

In this stage of the development we are open to work with multiple points of reference which can include sketches, photos, and rough or fully developed prototypes.
If you only have written notes for your design, not to worry! Based on your notes and description we can conceptualize and sketch out your design. This is to assure that we capture all aspects of your idea exactly as you envisioned it.

Once your design is complete, we would then start developing the base pattern. All patterns are hand drafted in house on alpha-numeric paper.

Per individual requests we can also provide you with digital copies of your patterns or patterns developed on thicker manila pattern making paper.

If you have already developed patterns, we accept and can work with both physical and digital patterns.

Product/Sample Development

A well developed sample is an essential step in getting your product ready for production.

At this stage, we work closely with you in developing and/or finalizing any design and construction elements of your design. After the initial sample is sewn, it is then returned to you for a fit test and any (if) additional changes that might be necessary.

Based on the amount of changes made to the initial sample this process might require only a single sample or multiple rounds of samples to meet your specifications and finalize all aspects of the design.
During this process we will also calculate and provide you with production cost per single unit.

Grading

In this final development stage, we garde the base pattern to the range of sizes you are planning to offer your design in. This step is only applicable if your garments or product does come in multiple sizes, if your garment / product is only offered in a single size then we can skip the grading step entirely.

All patterns are hand graded in house. Per individual requests we can also provide you with digitized copies of the graded sizes.

We offer our grading services for both, base patterns developed in house and for already existing base patterns that you may already have developed.

Small Batch Soft Apparel Goods Production

To produce with us we do require an initial sample to be sewn of your design in house. This allows us to gather and provide you with our production cost for your individual garment or product.

We want you to thrive and grow! Therefore we offer multiple production options. Based on the number of colorways per design, our minimums can be as low as 1-30 units per style.
Our capacity per single order is currently set at 600-1000 units.
